Why install a water softener in Luxembourg?
Water hardness varies by municipality. Hard water can leave scale in plumbing, water heaters and appliances, as well as marks on taps and shower screens. A water softener reduces the calcium and magnesium responsible for these deposits.
What is the difference between Mono and Duo?
A Mono model has one resin tank. During regeneration, usually at night, water is temporarily not softened. A Duo model has two alternating tanks for softened water 24/7. It suits larger households, homes with several bathrooms and businesses.
Which water softener should I choose?
The right choice depends on household size, water hardness, property type and whether you need continuous softened water. Our calculator suggests a model in 30 seconds; the choice is confirmed at your appointment.
Does the displayed price include everything?
The displayed supply-and-installation price includes 17% VAT, Adoline equipment with bypass, delivery, installation, connection, commissioning and settings. Your quotation confirms the precise scope for your property.
How long does installation take?
Installation and commissioning usually take half a day to a full day, depending on your existing plumbing.
Does a water softener use a lot of salt and water?
Adoline softeners are metered: regeneration depends on actual water use. Salt consumption varies with use and hardness, and the team can advise you on refilling.
What does a water softener do to the water?
It reduces calcium and magnesium, which cause hardness. The integrated blending valve allows the output hardness to be adjusted. Discuss any specific drinking-water requirements with the installer.
Do you offer maintenance and after-sales service?
Yes. Maintenance, salt supplies, adjustments and repairs are available throughout Luxembourg. The Adoline range has a 5-year warranty.
Are your prices really displayed?
Yes. Supply-and-installation prices including VAT range from €1,009 to €4,350, depending on the model. The scope is confirmed in your quotation.
Can I qualify for 3% VAT?
Reduced 3% VAT may apply to eligible residential work, subject to the applicable conditions and approval. Ask the team to check your situation. Prices otherwise include 17% VAT.
Salt-based softener or a salt-free system?
A resin-and-salt softener removes hardness minerals through ion exchange. CO₂ and other scale-treatment systems work differently and do not remove calcium and magnesium in the same way. The team can explain which approach suits your needs.

Can I keep an unsoftened drinking-water tap?
Yes. Discuss this with the installer. The output hardness can be adjusted using the blending valve, and an unsoftened outlet can be retained if required.
